Total Wellbeing, Perfect Health Course

All Mind & Body Wellness classes and services are adapted as needed for cancer patients, open to their caregivers and are open to the community. All classes are led in a secure Zoom session.

1 DAY COURSE

The roots of our Perfect Health course lie deep within Eastern India, but have been tailored to be gently woven into our western day lives. Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing that has its origins in the Vedic culture of India. Although suppressed during years of foreign occupation, Ayurveda has been enjoying a major resurgence in both its native land and throughout the world. Tibetan medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine both have their roots in Ayurveda. Early Greek medicine also embraced many concepts originally described in the classical Ayurvedic medicinal texts dating back thousands of years.

This course has been derived from the oldest healing system known as Ayurveda. Ayurveda is a philosophy of healing that balances the mind, the body, and the spirit. It balances each entity separately, but still recognizes that all three are connected. Ayurveda teaches us how to live in our most balanced states even through a pre existing condition, chronic state, or disease diagnosis, one can journey to experience a more balanced, meaningful & joyful life to sustain a mind-body at its balanced perfect health. Diet, Yoga, Meditation, Restoration, Detoxification, Nutrition & Stress Management are essential for quality of life.

What is the Perfect Health , Ayurveda?

Based on Perfect Health by Deepak Chopra, M.D., this class will be facilitated by Certified Ayurveda Health Educator , Christina Martini, practitioner of Ayurvedic & Yoga for Healthier Lifestyle of 25 years . The knowledge is wealth to our health as she shares how easily to bring balance and healing into your life. You will learn a powerful regimen of eastern philosophy such as Ayurvedic, Yoga, Breath, Meditation, Mindful practices designed to balance the body and mind, enhance your nutrition, reduce emotional stressor, turbulence and re-awaken the five senses.

How will Perfect Health enhance my life?

When our bodies and minds are in balance we can make nourishing choices that achieve healing, and experience the change we seek by transformation.

Today, doctors are seeing increasingly number amount of stress as a major contributing factor to most illnesses. Our bodies and minds react by shifting out of balance, which ultimately creates physical, mental challenges and emotional turbulence that impact our lives at home, at work, and at play and in our community.

In time, we can find ourselves in toxic situations, relationships and non-nourishing patterns of actions, eating, sleeping, and digestion. All these are known as subtle disturbances that impact our immune system.

The Perfect Health program has been written and designed easily to help identify the imbalances in out life, to teach us how to correct them, and help to develop a nurturing daily routine to remain balanced.

You will also learn to release emotions in a healthy way so that they do not build up in your physiology. Most importantly, as your stress is eliminated, your mind and body begin to function with maximum effectiveness, creating perfect health, vitality and happiness.

 What will I learn in the Perfect Health Ayurveda Course?

  • Session 1: Introduction to Ayurveda

Therapeutic Gently Yoga for Chronic, Cancer, Stress, Anxiety, Pre - Existing Conditions.

Thursdays, 4pm , Hawaii Time Zone

Blending gentle powerful movement of postures with breath and then the art of deep relaxation with Yoga Nidra. One hour of this practice is equivalent to 4 hours of good deep sleep.

You'll learn movements that can increase circulation, and blood flow, and support the lymphatic drainage process, promote restful sleep, balance to your energy, manage your illness, side effects and symptoms positively and effectively reducing anxiety and fear.

Using a combination of gentle yoga flow, static holds, and gravity, this class is accessible for all levels. No experience required. Increase your resilience, hope, confidence, balance and strength. Learn more about your immune system and techniques to use into your daily life through Ayurveda and Yoga, Eastern Holistic Practices that compliments with your care and wellbeing.

This class will begin with gentle stretch to relax muscles and increase awareness and relaxation.

Facilitated by Christina Martini , Certified Yoga Therapy Instructor of 25 years + clinical experiences in allopathic health care and proactive certified health advocate for eastern philosophy of health & wellness through the practices of Yoga, Breath, Meditation, Mindfulness and Ayurveda.

Please have a comfortable space, yoga mat if needed , bring a blanket or pillow to sit and lay on and a eye covering during each sessions. Gentle stretches, breath work and guided meditation deepens your practice that you can do everyday that can support your everyday needs.

Cancer Patient Participants who are more than 2 years out of completing active treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, targeted therapies, and immunotherapies)
